Cat in the hat
Frued's theory has made a complete turn about the story of "Cat in the hat" At first it was thought to be just a childrens book with rhyming schemes, but as I studied further into the story it deals with real life situations. Cat in the hat tells the story of two kids who were abandoned by their mother and the cat steps in as an authority figure. As soon as the cat met the kids he edmediatley showed off his ID. This would result in the craziest day of Sally & I's lives. You can tell how the cat is controlled by the id from the things he says. For example when he made up the game "Up up up with a fish" Another example is when he tried to explain to the fish why he didn't want to leave the house. He told the fish that he wanted to show him another game of his. One more example of what he says with the ID controlling him was when he was talking about his Belongings thing 1 and thing2. He wanted to let them have fun. Also when The Cat decided to start balancing everything in the house. You can also hear the cats ID when he says everything in rhyme. These are all the reasons why the the cat is dominated by the ID. In conclusion The Cat has never been able to find a balance because all his life he's lived in a fantasy world. He's never been told what to ddo by anyone. That's why when the fish told him to leave the cat disreguarded the fish completely. The id has been with the cat all his life. That's why it was so hard for him to find a balance because he's never had an authority figure.
